Sun conjunct Uranus or Sun quincunx Uranus gives an individual a strong life mission to individuate and help others to do so too. The native as a child felt compelled to stake their claim on their own personality as opposed to that of their fathers. This often alienates them from their family, worrying if they get too close to the father, they might loose a part of themselves.
Sun/Uranus wants to keep themselves together, lest Saturn (representing ‘big daddy’ in the collective) swipes off their testicles and throws them into the sea… The castration myth unconsciously simmers away in these subjects, which is why there is often a lifelong rebellion against figures of authority.
Sun conjunction Uranus in the sky gives us a seed moment of originality and invention. The ideas we present to the world are capable of revolutionising the areas they are planted in forever. There can be a rivalry between the past and the future, but the best can be utilised from both. It is possible to integrate ancient solar wisdom with modern state-of-the-art technology in new and original ways.
^ In the original myth. Saturn is Cronus, son of Uranus.
* The Inconjunct is another word for the quincunx. In traditional astrology, nether the conjunction or the quincunx are technically ‘aspects’ because the planets are too close in distance to ‘see’ the other. The conjunction functions as a blind spot, while the quincunx an adjustment. They share the ‘blindness’,so that is why I have grouped them together. Aspectare is Latin for ‘To observe’, or look at attentively.
