Jupiter Conjunct Pluto ~ We Want Your Soul

Jupiter conjunction Pluto last occurred at 22º Capricorn on November 12 2020. In Greek mythology, Zeus and Hades were brothers and rivals. Poor old Pluto (Hades) was consigned to ruling the dank underworld while Jupiter (Zeus) ruled the skies. It is not often then that these two meet.

In order for Pluto and Jupiter to make contact, Jupiter must take a deep dive into un-chartered territory, usually this is via mining or travel to other dimensions. The wealth that is discovered from these long distance travels (Jupiter) brings power (Pluto). Jupiter conjunct Pluto then is buried wealth in the shape of the precious metals and stones that are found deep in those mines or from exotic places far from home.

Gold can also be ‘black gold’ in the shape of oil. Fossil fuels are allegedly made from decomposed plants and animals over time. (Though I have heard otherwise…). Whether this statement is true or not, the ‘fossil fuel” concept fits very well with Jupiter and Pluto since we are using dead matter (or exploiting what has expired) to create power. Pluto can also be about the recycling.

Jupiter conjunct Pluto ~ 4 April, 30 June & 12 November 2020.

In modern times oil is the currency for our planet and has made globalism possible through long distant travel (Jupiter). Some astrologers call this conjunction the ‘millionaire’s aspect’. Bill Gates has Jupiter conjunct Pluto in his 2nd house of cash (Using whole signs.). They fall in materialistic earth sign Virgo.

I think Gates embodies this archetype very well with his so called philanthropic ‘good causes’. Of course, not everyone with this conjunction is going to be a Bill Gates. Jupiter conjunct Pluto can also be a vow of poverty to achieve some kind of spiritual power.
In the rest of the written post I discuss death cults/wealth cults, Jupiter conjunction Pluto natives, Jupiter conjunct Pluto as a transit, Jupiter conjunction Pluto in Capricorn in history.

Death Cults/Wealth Cults

So wealth can be spiritual gold, with many religious/spiritual gurus in the examples bearing this out. Mahatma Gandhi lived a very spartan life, the total opposite of ‘millionaire’. However there are questions about how enlightened Gandhi really was..

This aspect can use religion to wield power over others in a sinister way of course. “James Jones was an American civil rights preacher, faith healer and cult leader who conspired with his inner circle to direct a mass murder-suicide of his followers in his jungle commune at Jonestown, Guyana. “ ~ Wiki

“Jones and his wife adopted several non-white children; he referred to the household as his ‘rainbow family’.”  So Jones was probably one of the first celebrities to popularise this concept.
Adopting children of another race was probably taboo (Pluto) for the time (the late 50s).

Interestingly Jone’s only biological child was coincidently named Stephan Gandhi. All very worthy, but underneath Jupiter’s seemingly generous beneficence lay a deathly toxic core. 909 inhabitants of Jone’s commune died by cyanide poisoning including 304 children. Pluto is associated with toxins and child abduction.

So Jupiter conjunct Pluto carries a strong ‘Cult-ish’ energy, especially death cults. Marshall Applewhite also had this aspect and was another American cult leader and founded the Heaven’s Gate religious group ending in an organised mass suicide in 1997. I also found a similar ‘cult’ theme with Jupiter square/opposition Pluto.

Jupiter conjunct Pluto Natives

Mahatma Gandhi (7th House), Jim Jones (7th House), Marshall Applewhite, Bill Gates (2nd House), Ivanka Trump, Geena Davis, Eva Gabor, Whoopi Goldberg, Will Smith, Mick Jagger, Jerry Hall, Johnny Rotten, Leonard Bernstein, Mel Gibson, Billy Idol, Nat King Cole, La Toya Jackson, Chris Isaak, Didier Deschamps, Niki de Saint Phalle, Christopher Wren, Edward Elgar, Johannes Vermeer, Harold Pinter, Jean-Luc Godard, Bjorn Borg, Morocco, Louise Braille, Aileen Wuornos.

Jupiter Conjunct Pluto 2020 Transit

One of the big aspects of the year will be Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Capricorn, which at times will be triggered by Mars and Saturn in 2020.
Jupiter conjunct Pluto

In my research, I found there were some papal changes. So we could see Pope Francis replaced this year. (If he hasn’t been already…) We had some of the first discoveries of the new world by the Portuguese under this aspect.

The most significant for the archetype of Jupiter conjunct Pluto is the discovery of what was to be known as Costa Rica due to the glimmer of the plentiful gold that was found on its beaches.

The usual religious wars between the Moors and Christians, Byzantines and Western Christianity are also found during this aspect and some monarchs deposed. You would expect some religious conflict due to Jupiter and Pluto’s power grab under the guise of God’s will.

I know we are only looking at Jupiter conjunct Pluto but I found this on Reddit. Thought it was relevant since we will be going through the Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto stellium in Capricorn on and off through 2020 with Jupiter going retrograde.

“In late fall of the year 1894 BCE, Saturn had just transited Pluto at the end of Capricorn, and Jupiter was approaching to do the same…. At this time, the ancient city of Babylon was established…. The city was small and insignificant, but within a few short generations, it grew.
..Less then 100 years later, King Hammurabi codified a series of simple rules and regulations inspired by Samash the Sun god.. (Apollonian?) These regulations inspired by divinity were etched in stone, and have influenced all modern law to this day.” ~ Reddit

Can we trace some of the elites of our current time right back to this dynasty? This I found interesting because Babylon is famously mentioned in the Bible in Revelations. (Though this is probably not the same “Babylon” founded in 1894 BC.) Wiki says:
“Many Biblical scholars believe that “Babylon” is a metaphor for the pagan Roman Empire at the time it persecuted Christians… Koester says outright that “the whore is Rome, yet more than Rome.” It “is the Roman imperial world, which in turn represents the world alienated from God.”

“The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and bedecked with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her fornication; and on her forehead was written a name of mystery: ‘Babylon the great, mother of harlots and of earth’s abominations.’ And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and the blood of the martyrs of Jesus…” ~ (Rev. 17:1–6).

Since I feel like we are very much in the Kali Yuga times I thought it was worth looking into further
“This passage tells us several things about the Whore: (1) She is an international power, since she “sits on many waters,” representing different peoples (17:15), and she has committed fornication with “the kings of the earth,” (The Babylonian Dynasty?) In this case, her (The Whore) sitting on the Beast would not indicate a geographical location but an alliance between the two powers. The Whore (Jerusalem) would be allied with the Beast (Rome) in persecuting “the saints and . . . martyrs of Jesus.” ~ Catholic.com “

I will leave the interpretation to the reader for that one! I think of Europa sitting on the Bull of the EU for some reason.. Germany was the centre of the Holy Roman Empire from 800AD to 1809.  This Holy Roman Empire period was also known as the 1st Reich. Other themes in my research showed laws (Jupiter) that separated the church from state in England and the addition of rape (Pluto) as a felony in England back in 1285.

One of the chapters includes “It is Felony to commit Rape. A married Woman elopeth with Advouterer. The Penalty for carrying a Nun from her House.” Not sure if this was the first time rape was seen as a crime, but I include it out if interest as Pluto was an abductor/rapist after all. “Advouterer” actually means adulterer in Olde English. Though it sounds rather similar to abductor to me also.
April 2 ~ Pope Honorius IV succeeds Pope Martin IV.
Council of Blachernae: The Eastern Orthodox Church repudiates the Union with the Roman Catholic Church, declared in the Second Council of Lyon.
