Moon Conjunct Jupiter or Moon Quincunx Jupiter are eternal optimists and irrepressible, despite often having endured quite a roller-coaster childhood. They are also emotionally extravagant, and can over-react in a most dramatic and somewhat camp manner to the smallest set back. Moon conjunct Jupiter people can totally over-estimate their capabilities, but nothing seems to put them off their goals. For them there really ain’t no mountain high enough.

Protection is BIG here, and parents with this aspect should be incredibly nurturing, warm and generous to those in their care. Of course though, with Jupiter there is always the danger of going over-the-top. The temptation to indoctrinate their children or pupils to fanatically follow their own beliefs is very high.

These folk can’t help but become completely enamored by a belief system, be it political or religious. These folk will do most anything to be with someone they love, idolizing them like a god or goddess. They are also very likely to have Jupiter’s roving eye, but they will want to have their cake and eat it. Often this means the more highly-sexed among them will have affairs along side a marriage.

Moon conjunct Jupiter are true pioneers and enjoy telling tales about their travels. The worst side of this aspect can be an over-zealous attitude to spirituality. Those abandoned by their mothers will often be attracted to religious cults, who then become their substitute family. Others may experience their mother as quite a religious fanatic, but jump from one form of supernatural control to another.

Moon conjunct or quincunx Jupiter have an irrepressible enthusiasm and a unique, larger than life charm. They usually are quite jovial, but can have great mood swings where they are either euphoric or really grumpy.

Moon quincunx Jupiter expresses it’s expansive, protective and mothering qualities in an unusual and original manner. It also makes eccentric preachers and teachers, who are most entertaining in the “pulpit”. Grand promises are made that they find impossible to keep, mainly because they are constantly yearning for some unrealistic dream, which they assume they will attain without any obstacle.

Novel and ingenious ways are found to satiate their greed without being discovered. These people will bounce back again and again, this might be because they were passed from Auntie to Auntie, or that they grew up with parents on the road, always talking about their next exciting voyage. Because of this these natives get through most crisis’ with a bombastic sense of humor.

*The Inconjunct is another word for the quincunx. In traditional astrology, nether the conjunction or the quincunx are technically ‘aspects’ because the planets are too close in distance to ‘see’ the other. The conjunction functions as a blind spot, while the quincunx an adjustment. They share the ‘blindness’,so that is why I have grouped them together. Aspectare is Latin for ‘To observe’, or look at attentively.

Adolf Hitler. It’s quite interesting Hitler has this same Messianic conjunction as the Anti-Christ (See below). However, Hitler’s Moon conjunct benefic Jupiter, (rather than ‘evil’ Pluto) may still come as a surprise. In fact, Hitler totally fits with the Moon/Jupiter archetype in that he rallied a huge following with his ’emotionally extravagant’ speeches. Hitler was also seen as a Jupiter savior, since he appeared to miraculously resurrect Germany from the crippling financial depression of the early 1930’s.

For Hitler, the motherland of Germany was held as sacred, so all threats to it’s survival had to be exorcised. Hitler never married or had children saying that he was married to Germany. As a narcissistic parent then, Hitler’s ‘Golden children’ were his German ‘Aryan’ people. Hitler gave financial incentives for Germans to have more babies. Each married couple were loaned 1000 marks and allowed to keep 250 for each child they had.

Parents of more than 6 children paid no income tax and, (how’s this for Moon/Jupiter?) Motherhood medals were even introduced! (Bronze for 5 children, silver for 6 and gold for 7.) The Eugenics programme can also be considered to be very descriptive of Moon conjunct Jupiter, as it is breeding (Moon) in order to create super human ‘Gods’. Tyrone Power came from a theatrical family and was mainly brought up  by his doting mother after his parents divorced. His huge screen presence and matinee idol looks won him success in romantic comedies.

Tyrone was one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors when he married Annabella (ne: Suzanne Charpentier), but the marriage failed after studio interference and Tyrone’s affair with Judy Garland.
