Venus Conjunct Jupiter ~ All That Glitters!

JAN 22. Venus conjunct Jupiter is super-love and luxury. Riches and indulgence. If this aspect were a hotel room it would be the honeymoon suite. This gorgeous conjunction brings the two benefics together which you would think could only be a good thing. This is true to a certain extent, but it really depends how these planets are configured in the chart. Are either of them dignified? Are they powerful in angular houses? Sometimes their pairing can be a case of too much of a good thing. Ask yourself these questions before you assume this aspect will give all the blessings it promises!

The most obvious interpretation is the omen of a wedding. At its best, this is a beautiful, fortunate aspect for any couple tying the knot. But it is also great for a profitable business partnership also. It works best for careers that are to do with travel, art, spirituality, love, antiques, pampering, beauty and harmony.

This aspect stimulates (for better or for worse) a very active social life. If the subject is not hosting lavish parties then they will be going to them. This is a very popular combination where the Venus conjunct Jupiter is super charming. They are also attracted to charismatic, A-list partners and usually be part of the glitterati, in whatever field they inhabit.

The Honey Moon Suite

Venus conjunct JupiterPeople naturally gravitate towards this aspect’s warmth and generosity and they make natural ‘feel-good’ hosts. (Though I’m not sure how ‘warm’ Mussolini and Genghis Khan would be (see below), still, I’m sure they would be entertaining…) The danger with this aspect of course can be indulgence and over-spending as these folk generally adore luxury goods and high-status accessories.

There are of course exceptions to maxing-out on the credit card, since Jupiter can also be learning and religion. Then this aspect is less materialistic, but puts all their passion into spirituality and travel. Venus conjunct Jupiter in this case may spend all their money on airfares while traveling in rags. This is more likely when the aspect is in Sagittarius or the 9th house, so again check the placement.

Some say that the star of Bethlehem was actually Venus and Jupiter conjunct in the sky. Together the brightest planets will of course look impressive and of course the brilliant light can seem like the omen of a saviour. A being that is as full of love, light and generosity as this vision promises.

  1. I know I’m a little late to answer your comment Binky, but it’s probably because your venus is in Capricorn. Which is ruled by saturn. Saturn has the opposite effect and makes you feel awkward in social situations or relationships. In the beginning of your life that is. It gets easier with age.

  2. Dang! So that’s what is making my Wife booty-text my well proportioned Libra/ Pisces (1952) posterior all day long! LOL! Her Gemini/Pisces rising (1951) Feminine Urges are just cooking up a Sensous Storm, even after we had a major disagreement right before Winter Solstice! Gonna re-light the Bonfire and “join ” my Sugarbee, several times in Celebration of the Wheel of Life! 🙂
