Pisces Decan 3 ~ General Meaning

Pisces Decan 3 is ruled by Mars (Scorpio triplicity) in both systems. This is the zone of the impossible, for here we have aeronautical fishes! The sun flies through this decan from March 11 – 20. This zone is totally dominated by the visionary, high-flying, mythical horse Pegasus, after that there is a lizard, a swan and a star measurer.

We get the feeling that this Piscean water is simmering, about to boil over as it makes its way to the new life born on the spring equinox at 0º Aries. This zone is bursting with anticipation for the future and impatient because these subjects have been cocooned for so long. Pisces decan 3 can make calamitous mistakes by10 Of Cupsover-reaching themselves. These eager foals need to remember that half-baked ideas do not go down well, so must learn to hold back until their plans are fully developed. The latter end of the decan, especially those on the anaretic 29º are natural daredevils and aim high in all things.

They are prone to accidents due to their impulsive natures, but very ‘Gung ho’ so will back in the saddle as soon as they can. They have the ability to put a positive spin on things, which can come in useful working in glamour industries such as fashion, film and advertising.

Daring Visionaries & Star Measurers

In Vedic astrology, the 24th nakshatra where this star resides is called ‘The Former beautiful’, so Pisces decan 3 at least like to preen themselves and keep up appearances if they aren’t making things beautiful in art or design. However much as these natives have a great sense of the aesthetic, they pride themselves on being primarily intellectuals. In fact, their busy minds might be the reason they are so accident-prone. Practical things, like simple walking in a straight line, might be a problem…These fishes are often confused as to why they are such hotheads when the usual descriptions of Pisces are so laid back and languid. This really isn’t the case with decan 3!

The tarot card associated with this card is the ten of cups. The Cinderella effect of the meaning of the decan as a whole is very marked with this card since “It suggests emotional fulfillment, settling down and starting a family. You have found the love you have searched for… You may have a picture painted in your head of the ideal partner and life for you.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with this as we all have our own idea of what we are looking for, and a dream we would dearly love to come true.” Painting a picture is appropriate as this is such an imaginative decan. Karmically for artists “The Ten of Cups suggests exceptional work.  Your creations will be truly inspiring and might even be your best yet” Like high flying Pegasus, in this life “It is all taking off for you now and you may even get some global recognition.” ~ Teachmetarot.

Sun Pisces 3

Markab 23º “Energetic, unlucky, impermanent martial honours, disappointed ambitions, accidents, sickness.” [1] A person who is consistent in their beliefs, an unchanging person; to be seen stubborn or strong-willed.” [6]
Scheat  29º “Danger through water and engines, liable to accidents or drowning.” [4]” Headstrong; an independent thinker. Pursuing one’s ideas or one’s version of truth without regard to the opinions of others” [7]

The Sun is on a rollercoaster in this decan, since it is waving goodbye to the last solar year and about to leap into the springtime with renewed vigor. Sorry for the northern hemisphere bias, but even the fixed stars here describe the drama of this hinge-point of the calendar. Up or down it doesn’t really matter, the point is, this decan is on the tipping point one way or another. It is very appropriate that the discovery of Uranus is here since the planet marks the threshold to the world of the non-visible planets. From Uranus onwards, we deal with alien matter and dimensions we cannot see. Sun Pisces 3 is fascinated with mystery and what lurks beyond the physical. It feels like it must “boldly go” like in the famous Star Trek series. This is quite an unworldly placement for those who have to live a material existence so they may find it hard not to escape into Sci-Fi and hyper-dimensional realities. There is a feeling of breakthrough; the invention of the telephone allows a person from one side of the world to break through dimensions in time to speak to another on the opposite side. There are sharp contrasts in the behavior of these individuals too, for like the rollercoaster they plunge into misery one day but are upbeat and ecstatic the next. The fixed stars warn of the negatives from the subject’s rash and impulsive nature. However, I feel that if Pisces decan 3 learns patience and works on bridling their wayward passions they can avoid the dire warnings of any really serious accidents.

  1. Where did March 20 go? You don’t have it under Aries or Pisces. (I am a 29 degree Pisces Sun born on 3/20/1969.)

    1. This year the Sun left Pisces 3 early so I had it as 19, but it varies from year to year so I put it back to 20 again.

  2. Well I have a Moon in Pisces at this decan and I can see everything. When Neptune went over my Sun opp Uranus, I got to master the 3 dream bodies and all was very frightening and very awesome equally, both heaven and hell but with Neptune on my Sun, it was the journey ‘inward’ and through the great veils entered through self and dreaming, i could begin to see in between the veils. Now with neptune coming for my moon, even though its still 13 degrees away, its started to manifest (the unseen) in the actual physical reality. I am extremely grounded and fated to be a dreamer (shaman), so my 30 years of initiations and death initiations (underworld and karma) have prepared me well. I welcome Pegasus and am ready for the ride to heaven. Having mastered equestrian riding in disciplines between 5 years old and 25, I am ready.

  3. P.S. Oh – and you forgot to include Daniel Dunglas Home – often called THE “greatest medium that ever lived” (and the only one that achieved levitation in front of reputable witnesses, including highly sceptical minds, who did their best to demonstrate his feats were due to clever trickery. They may have been, for all I know, but nobody ever proved it.)

He gives me hope – he didn’t drown. 🙂

  4. Quite interesting.
I was born at PIS 29 degrees (based strictly on my experience, though, cusp babies really ARE different from those of the two signs they are straddling). Some things described are very true. I could summarise my attitude to life as “Mission impossible: there is no such thing”. And I totally mean it.
I am rather impulsive and something of a daredevil, definitely. But I am not accident-prone, AT ALL. If anything, I have walked through and out of dangerous situations “miraculously” unscathed (touch wood!). I think it was precisely because of that “nothing can touch ME” mentality – plus I am acutely aware of my own body and of the world around me, no matter how engrossed I my be in other “worlds”.

Looking at the list of historical examples, though, I am a little confused. Michelangelo was born on March 6th – how does he belong in the third decane?

Also, besides Mengele and Eichmann there is also Albert Speer (born on March 19, as was Eichmann)- a very interesting character.
Another interesting – and less sinister – character is William Hurt, the great actor.

    Thank you for your work.
    It certainly is interesting.

    1. Good question about Michaelangelo! The year he was born 1475, the Sun was at 24º Pisces on the 6th of March. But the zodiac has moved back due to precession since then.
Bringing us up to date, March 6th in 2016 has the Sun at 16º 36′ Pisces.

  5. Wow I’m a 3 Pisces & I always wondered where this evil diva behaviour comes from!damn…It sounds like we are a bunch of bratty, sex freak, bitchy mermaids.. Lord help us!!

  6. @ Uberqueen. Ha ha!! Well aliens might’ve invented cheese indirectly… 😉 If they domesticated animals so that we could milk them?
    Happy belated bonkers birthday too.

    1. Thank you Marina! Birthday was indeed bonkers! My daughter took me to a little cafe in Hoxton – the Cat Cafe – where you get to hang out with a load of purrrrfectly divine pussy cats – some kittens! Not an alien in sight… not obviously anyway.

  7. HEY UBQW!

HAHAHAHAA!!! YES! It is the guy with the crazy hair!
I do have to admit that I may not subscribe to many of the theories, but I do enjoy the program for mental stimulation! It assuages my sense of cosmic wanderlust!
Maybe it is my South Node in pisces decan 3 on Scheat in the 9th!

    1. Ha ha! Yes its good value and thought provoking! I also like the fact Georgio has different degrees of hair lift! Maybe its an antenna!

  8. Marina,

Your pioneering work on the Decans and on the Fixed Stars is truly legendary!

Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, the consulting producer of the History Channel’s program “Ancient Aliens” and of the H2 series, “In search of Aliens” is a Sun in Pisces decan 3, “Daring Visionaries & Star Measurers” and on fixed star Scheat! Your Uranian finger sits on the beating pulse of astrology! Cheers to your Fantastic work! I am so excited for you to finish your book!

    1. Roberto – is he the guy with the mad hair? If so it fits him perfectly as he has a ridiculous imagination which he has made into a TV show! Its a pity he only has one agenda! I swear he would pass off the invention of cheese to ancient aliens!

  9. Thanks for yor comment. So which one is more effective in a birthday profile, decans or stars ?
