The Eleventh House ~ Epiphany

The eleventh house is associated with friends, common interest groups and wishes. The traditional astrologers call this house “good spirit” and Jupiter finds its joy here. The zodiac sign of Aquarius is the co-significator of the eleventh house.

William Lilly says of the tenth house;

“It doth naturally represent friends and friendship, hope, trust, confidence, the praise or dispraise of anyone; the fidelity or falseness of friends; as to kings it personates their favourites, councillors, servants, their associates or allies, their money, exchequer or treasure; in war their ammunition and soldiery; it represents courtiers, &c., in a Common-wealth governed by a few of the nobles and commons, it personates their assistance in council: as in London the tenth house represents the lord Major; the eleventh the Common-council; the Ascendant the generality of the commoners of the said city.

Of members it ruleth the legs to the ankles. Of colours, it ruleth the saffron or yellow.
It hath of the signs Aquarius, and Sun of the planets, for cosignificators; Jupiter doth especially rejoice in this house; it’s a succeedent house, and masculine, and in virtue is equivalent either to the seventh or fourth houses.”

Planets In 11th House Meaning ~ Transits

Sun Transit 11th House

The Sun transit through the eleventh house connects you to folk with whom you share the same dreams. It is though conversing with our peers that we come to see our place in the world. Are we out of touch? Are we alienated, or are we simply a square peg in a round hole. If we don’t feel we resonate with our old mates any longer, it could be a sign that we have grown out of that scene. This might be a very good thing if it was actually quite a negative scene that supported bad habits or addictions.

At this time you realise that kinship is really thin on the ground. This then is the ideal time to consciously work at making new friends. The best way to do this is by joining common interest groups or start up a ‘meet up’ group of your own that arranges outings to your favourite places. These could be art galleries, historical places or concerts. If we tend to fall into the same old habits when we socialise, this month could change all that. Be adventurous and get cultural, rather than meeting at that same old bar or pub.

Moon Transit & Full Moon in 11th House

Friends become extremely important with the Full Moon in the eleventh house and you will feel extra sentimentally attached to your buddies. Indeed they will feel more like blood siblings. One, in particular, might become your new ‘BFF’. It could get so, that even if you are both fully fledged adults, a kind of childish jealousy of other friendships could come into play. On the other hand, you may experience this clinginess yourself from another friend, this can be either charmingly sweet or desperately annoying, depending on how independent you are.

Moon in the eleventh house will be a time when you feel like confiding your innermost dreams and fears to your best pal and they will be very receptive towards hearing them. You should experience support and protective nurturing from your closest friends at this time which makes you really appreciative of your little clan. You will want to spend time with like-minded souls at this time. It would be a good idea to arrange a get-together well in advance so nobody misses out on your ‘coven’s social magic.

Mercury Transit 9th House

This is a period where you will be mulling over your dream job or what your mission on planet earth actually is. It would be a good time to set some sky high goals and have some vision of where your creativity, talents or business nous can take you. A strong element in reaching those goals will be networking with your peers and ‘jamming’ out some ideas.

Wishes can come true at this time so feel free to make an image board of your dream job. It doesn’t matter how unrealistic these thoughts are, just getting the wish-making vibe in motion can revive a stagnant creative pool. You might want to mix with a younger crowd than usual, which will also help pull your working practices into the 21st Century.

Now is the time to network whether it is in person or using social network media. You will be feeling optimistic, visionary and wanting to share your ideas with others. This is a great time to attend a work-related conference and meet your peers. If you are an employee you might find you make new friends at work and feel more like socialising with them after hours. This is an enjoyable work period where you don’t feel too isolated, even if you work solo or at home.

Venus Transit 9th House

A friend could become your lover when Venus graces this sector of your chart! Social interactions with your favourite buddies could also bring a long-term partner into your life. Potential lovers at this time will feel more of a friendly connection than sexual, the importance is having a great rapport with them. The main influence will be the ability to get on well and harmonise with a wide variety of people. There should be no conflicts as you are feeling relaxed and content and radiating that out to others who then feel the same.

The ego is pretty much in total sleep mode at this time, so any potentially flammable communications with friends or partners are glossed over without any upset. If your new love has not yet met any of your friends then this is a great time to mix the two as the atmosphere is easy, warm and affectionate. Bringing lovers and friends together in a group setting are exceeding well starred, and any parties you attend should be more fun than usual, again the possibility of making a romantic connection at these events is very high so get out there in your Saturday best.
