It is over a year since the 8.9 Earthquake struck Sendai in Japan causing the devastating explosion at the nuclear plant Fukushima. The consequences for humanity are only beginning to be felt I fear. We have not been told the true extent of the radiation and its effects. Clif High lives on the west coast of America and has been in possession of a Geiger Counter since before the Fukushima explosion. He has seen with his own eyes the alarming rise in radioactivity in the area he lives.
Clif helped develop “the Web Bot Project in the late 1990s. It’s an Internet bot software program or a web spider that originally was designed to predict stock market trends. Eventually it developed into something different. Now it’s claimed to be able to predict future events by tracking keywords on the web.” Red Ice Radio. From studing the trends, Clif has made a prediction that there will be a further explosion at Fukushima after another earthquake. He has even come up with a date: July 10 2012. He says the consequences of this 2nd explosion are nothing less than grave and will affect everyone in the northern hemisphere. Not just through the air, he says it will permeate all our food up here too. Needless to say I really hope he is wrong! I admit don’t know the science behind this. I am just interested in what the stars have to say.
Jamie has already looked at the astrology behind the Japan Earthquake and Fukushima Plant Explosion the next day. The previous December 2010 Lunar Eclipse (which I called “Ball Breaker”) then had been on fiery “Red giant” Betelgeuse, itself going supernova in the heavens. Japans Moon is on Betelgeuse. Transiting Uranus on disastrous Scheat was squaring Japans Moon further activated this hot spot. The south node of the Earthquake chart was also on Japans Moon on Betelgeuse. I shudder over what I wrote concerning that eclipse “ Betelgeuse is gasping and puffing on it’s death bed. The feeling is that we are at the end of an era and that this overblown giant wants to go out with a bang. Maybe the best thing to do is just stand back and enjoy the fireworks knowing we are being somehow taken care of.” I hope we are being taken care of.

What is this year’s Solar eclipse doing to Japan then? It falls on Japan’s Neptune, which is on none other than the notorious Alcyone in the Pleiades. Generally this is not a good omen, since the Pleiades. “causes bereavement, mourning, sorrows and tragedies”. Neptune rules poisons and of course the sea. Much of the seafood in this area is now sadly radioactive and unfit for consumption. If I go by what I generally predict for eclipses, then this could go either way as the title for this eclipse was a hopeful one and spoke of magical cleansing. We would need that cleansing if this prediction of Clifs came true. I also wrote “ This solar eclipse is also about sorrow, tears, broken hearts, open hearts, empathy, compassion and eventual redemption. There could be a collective tragedy, maybe a flood, which galvanises charities and politicians around the world to do something large scale. This mass empathy could be enough to melt those hearts that have been encased in ice for too long.”

I don’t like seeing poisonous Neptune aspected like this after looking at my eclipse forecast. Nor do I like Pluto being inflated by transiting Jupiter either. This Jupiter/Ceres conjunction amplifies Pluto too. Ceres and Pluto were conjunct during the Icelandic Volcano eruption, which grounded airplanes in Europe. I wrote back then “So Ceres in conjunct with Pluto raises issues then of whether we “Choose Life” or dice with death as shown by the last few times they were in conjunction.Ceres will confront powerful big business and take them to task over their raping and pillaging of the earth.”

Prediction Horoscope
At 1.48pm JST (*World wide times below) July 10 2012 there is a dangerous window where we get Moon conjunct Uranus. Although Uranus is not on Scheat like in the Fukushima explosion chart, it is still in the same volatile constellation Pegasus, this time on fixed star Algenib “Excess of heat resulting in violence and perhaps misfortune or dishonor.” Moon on Algenib “exiled or forced to flee, ill health,” which could be describing having to leave the radioactive zone. Moon/Uranus will fall bang on the midpoint of Japan’s Venus/Sedna conjunction too.
Jamie has already linked Sedna to earth changes. I do see her as being associated with tragedy, betrayal and abandonment (By the Government?) If we think of the sad state of our seas since Fukushima, this really fits with Sedna “when her mass of unruly hair becomes tangled she becomes enraged again and threatens to withhold her bounty. The good shamen know that in order to ensure an abundant supply of fish, they need to soothe and comfort Sedna by brushing her hair”. Moon conjunct Uranus can be accidents and it certainly describes emotional shock.
That Algenib Moon will activate the already volatile Uranus square Pluto in the sky. It gives us Moon square Pluto: “This is the raging Kali archetype par excellence….In some cases the mother as destroyer can be literal. The moment HMS Titanic struck the Plutonic iceberg the Moon was square Pluto. How symbolic of this aspect, the great ship weighed down by her treasures, plunged deep into the underworld with the loss of so many lives” Moon square Pluto has a similar theme to Sedna. The actual chart for July 10 has a violent Sedna/Lilith conjunction on Capulus, Algol’s decapitating neighbour. Capulus is the male Lilith, the aggressive sexual energy that slew demon Medusa. Eris is opposed Saturn (13’). More wild female energy versus patriarchy, and suggestive of having to tame and restrain her. Maybe we have to appease our raging mother earth, and go back to the old fashion practices of sacrificing something to the gods. Our wasteful consuming lifestyles I mean, not goats…
Web Bot 2012 Doomsday Predictions
The problem with disaster predictions like this, is that when you then look at the astrology you are already viewing it through a negative lens. Those Neptune conjunctions could also be warning us of self deception, especially with Mercury. Is this delusion and doomsday paranoia be coming from Clif himself or the world governments in relation to the extent of the radiation? With Neptune its always hard to tell.
Are there any positives in the prediction chart itself? There is a minor grand trine to Venus on Aldebaran. “With Venus: Honor through literature, music or art, creative abilities, favorable for health and marriage.” Though the Ebertins say that Aldebaran with Venus can be “power directed wrongly” and for Aldebaran generally “Catastrophe by weather conditions, floods, shipwrecks.” Generally Robson makes it fortunate, but then says the benefits seldom last. So not that encouraging then…
All things considered it could just simply mean a bad day for Japan. The danger period is just an hour around 2pm. We have many bad days like this and the world doesn’t end. I don’t like spreading fear or negativity, but when I hear about predictions and dates the astrologer in me can’t resist having a peak of what may be the message behind all this. The May Solar eclipse path does fall over Japan, but it’s more of a watery eclipse than an explosive one. We can only hope that the web-bot is just picking up on our negative thinking, and that maybe this is a warning to clean-up our minds.

UPDATE! Japan Floods July 12th 2012
Japan Floods Kill At Least 26, Thousands Remain Cut Off. The rain seems to have started on the 12th when Venus was on Aldebaran (35′) as above “Catastrophe by weather conditions, floods”, combined with the Solar eclipse falling on Japan’s natal Neptune. A watery eclipse. I’m glad the worst did not happen, but the flooding still claimed lives unfortunately. Here are the other transits. Saturn on Japans rising Uranus. Pluto opposite Japans Chiron on Skat in Aquarius. (10′). Maybe it could’ve been worse as this star “ it is said to indicate safety in a deluge.”. And as already mentioned but with different orbs: Neptune Rx conjunct Mercury (48’) Ceres conjunct Pluto (69’) Jupiter conjunct Pluto (50’).
I think one has to be aware that there are forces from the Sun etc which we really can’t predict and although we can measure and feel ok within what we measure we need to remember the historically there have been things literally off the scale. As Micheline says, France is full of nuclear reactors and they run very well.
Personally I think the use of sugar is far worse than fall out from a damaged reactor. its just that you can buy sugar in the supermarket and it tastes sweet!
Is this fear mongering though? Talking about earthquake possibilities? No. No more than believing there is a dark shadow government running everything. Its all a matter of choice and choosing the metaphors you want to live by.
SInce we are all astrologers here it worth stopping for a moment to remember we speak in metaphors which convey feeling, reaction and image.
People tend to use words like society, government, culture, mind and so on with the belief they speak factually when they may be metaphors. e.g government = that which rules us/me could stand for things which Iet run me when I totally depersonalise myself and reduce myself to a number…

I thin any kind of society or coherent group is glued together by a set of publicly shared assertions. YOU could even go so far as to say cliches based on selected fictions. Most of these fictions seem to be to shore us up against death, to be reductionist. Some people’s fictions are truths!
Any kind of threat to life needs to be tested, perhaps, as what the attitude to death is. if we fear death too much we might be clinging to the wrong things in life.
There will be earthquakes, solar flares, violence, fire and brimstone and so on. As a species we have to explore every aspect of what we are. There just aren’t any guarantees.

Gosh! I didn’t know about the floods. I have been doing the tourist thing for the last three days. Terrible. And I thought Japan had made it through the prediction unscathed. That will be Aldebaran then. Later I will look at the chart for the 14th.

It is impossible to avoid a discussion of the 2012 prediction, but if I had to say, there is something to it. We have not yet seen the worst of the radiation spill; in a very few years the seas will be so contaminsted with radiation that nobody will be able to eat sushi anymore; the phermaceutical companies can jump for joy because cancer rates are also bound to start skyrocketing as well; if rediation is already contaminating the West Coast beaches of America and Canada. This is the simple facts of existence. The oceans are choked with plastic waste and dying from acidification, now they can add radiation contamination to that list.Can anyone doubt that big,big karmic chickens are coming home to roost?
here’s my 2012 story, for what it’s worth:
A friend of mine, a ‘tortured artist” type (with 5 planets in Scorpio and a Virgo Ascendent , conjunct Pluto) mentioned to me that he had once seen what he belived was going to be the day of his death in a dream. I asked him how it had appreared to him and he said he saw it written down and it was so vivid that he could not forget it. I asked him what the date was, and he said “December 22, 2012″.”
Now, this was , mind you , around 1998; the 2012 predictions were not yet in full spate, and I was not at all familiar with them , nor had I yet discovered the Internet.
But I did have another friend who was an occult book dealer (I later found out he was OTO, but that’s another story) and whose book list I had read over only a day or so previously to the revelation of this story.
When I heard the date I thought it sounded oddly familar somehow, and only the very next day, I was reminded of where I had seen it: I picked up the book list again, read it over and spotted it: a book on the prophecy of 2012 involving the Mayan prophecy, with that very date in the title!
It is for that reason that I think this is one prophecy that should be taken very seriously indeed.
Actaully that’s not quite right; I’d say that there has been and will be all sorts of reasons to demonstrate that we really ARE at the end of a cycle of time, but Crowley DID say that the Aeon of Horus the Child would be succeeded [sic] by the Aeon of Justice.
