I had a go at rectifying Samantha’s chart by placing my chosen archetypal planet near the MC as I had done with Carrie. Doing this I saw Regulus was very near her AC. So I fined tuned it to put Regulus as her rising star. Having the heart of Leo on the AC for Samantha just seemed so fitting. It moves Mars further away from the MC. But it’s still within a respectable orb.
Most people do seem to agree that they see Samantha as Leo the lioness. She is the Queen of PR after all. Regulus is one of the powerful Royal stars. “Great honor and wealth, but violence and trouble, sickness, fevers, acute disease, benefits seldom last, favor of the great, victory over enemies and scandal.” [1]
Very fitting for our man-eater. This also puts the planet of sex and obsession Pluto in the Marsy 1st house which raises it’s libido and potency. Pluto is also trined slutty Lilith in the promiscuous 9th.
Samantha’s actual Mars is opposed Jupiter. Jupiter exaggerates and the opposition makes it dynamic. Mars/Jupiter= loads of sex. Mars in the 9th=Loads of sex. Her Mars is the apex of a t square to the maverick Uranus/Chiron opposition which is going to make her experimental. She won’t give a damn about her reputation either. Mars square Chiron can be sexual wounding/healing.
Her Uranus is trine Mercury by 01′. She has done bi-sexuality. Though Samantha claims she is tri-sexual. She will try anything once!

But best of all is what we get on her MC with this chart. She has it on Capulus which is the male Lilith. The hand holding the sword that slayed Medusa in the constellation Perseus. You’re forgetting a minor but important detail. In the SATC movie, Samantha’s birthday was celebrated at the end of the movie. Mind you, when the girls were out, they didn’t wear any coats, which indicates that Sam’s birthday was during a warm season. Samantha’s no Sagittarius, she’s definitely a Leo. I don’t know where you got birthday from, but that can’t be it, then again, she’s a fictional character, so I guess the only person we ought to REALLY ask is Candace Bushnell.
Ha ha, do you think the film keeps loyal to continuity? And the girls are such fashion victims I don’t believe they wear coats in the cold, they just wear cabs.
You get a far more rich description of her character if you add in the AC and Moon too. Leo rising governs her body and how she comes across. So you have your Leo anyway. But if we are going to do Zodiac signs why on earth wouldn’t she be a Sag? She is certainly pioneering, daring and adventurous, and also Jupiter who rules Sag was the biggest slut of them all!
