Yes the card the “High Priestess” when you mentioned polarity immediately brought me to the image of the two pillars, and perhaps it reminds us, as you did with the idea of the bridge at the end, that the High Priestess IS the bridge standing in the middle of the polarity of dark and light. A sort of common ground, perhaps? Especially after the ideas that were brought about earlier on the Algol post of this lack of unity within a situation which should be wholeness..
(Recalling the fact that Algol is representative of the decapitated head of Medusa.. reminding us that when we are not whole in ourselves, we become the tools of other’s intentions)
If we have a lack of wholeness within ourselves, isn’t this too how the polarity thing can play out? Since there is always this conflict between the polarities, the High Priestess is where there is the common ground between the polarities.
I think one of the most impressive images I was pointed to was that of Vajrayana by Fauvism Astrology; and this is the idea that comes to mind when I think of the wholeness.. the female dancing figure that stands in the middle of the Universe, not unlike the High Priestess but not unlike “the world dancer”
Collectively before Medusa lost her head, the word Medusa was synonymous with “wisdom” according to the myth, but still the persona of Medusa was a “high priestess” of Athena.
Reminiscent once again, that polarities live within, not just outside of ourselves.. and when we are whole, we are more likely to attempt to build bridges.
