The most negative aspect of Lilith is her reputation as a baby killer so thought it would be interesting to see how the Liliths played out in the horoscope of Myra Hindley. Infamous child murderer in the 1960′s. Since Lilith themes seem to be quite relevant to her life.
Particularly with her working with Ian Brady. Who was the Svengali here? I may look into their synastry at another time. But right now lets put all these Liliths in Myras chart. I often wondered where the horrifying baby eating aspect of Lilith fitted in. Then I found this:

Myra Hindley Horoscope
The Sun is in its anaretic degree, sometimes known as the Karmic degree. This planetary position signifies an urgent need to correctly utilize the energy of that planet. With the sun it can mean father issues, not knowing who you are and having difficulty relating to men. It seems she projected all her ego needs onto her accomplice Brady. A severe case of being led astray? Her sun is also conjunct Pluto. Obsessional love, sex and death… Her Pluto is closely conjunct the IC which can also point to her father issues and her roots.
Her Moon is in the 6th, the house of slaves. A vulnerable place for the sensitive moon. A sex slave to Brady? Her AC ‘s closest aspect is a semi square from that anaretic Sun, so back to father issues, with men in general and childhood wounds from Chiron In the 4th house of the home. Mercury (children) is opposed to Asteroid Lilith in the 8th. I guess this might manifest as being the negative side of Asteroid Lilith, the Ball breaking, man hater. We already see she had issues with men due to her anaretic sun.
Myra Hindley Yod To Asteroid Lilith
First we see she has a Yod to Asteroid Lilith in the 8th which we have already spoke of. The energy of a Yod can become quite frustrating, because it is formed with two quincunxs so there is the feeling that some sort of an adjustment must be made. In order to resolve the tension, one of the two planets is going to have to act in a manner that is contrary to the nature of its sign, and therefore both difficult and uncomfortable. So we have Myras identity, the AC, at odds with this wannabe feminist independent yet very sexual Lilith in the 8th which has to come to terms with childhood wounds from Chiron.
Chiron is also squared by Dark Moon Lilith which is the baby eating raging Lilith. Which graphically symbolizes the vengeful wounds she dealt to children.. This dark moon Lilith is in Neptunes 12th house, a real danger of magnifying illusions to unhealthy levels and trines Asteroid Lilith in the 8th. She must’ve know she was compromising her beliefs in following Bradys perversions, unless she used this equality fighting Lilith simply by being as perverted as him. Did it give her a sense of power and an outlet for venting revenge for childhood hurts? This raging Dark moon Lilith is also semi sextile her AC. So pretty integral to her persona.
Last but not least, probably the most glamorous of the Liliths. Black moon Lilith. She has it conjunct Venus and its powerful in her 1st house. So she had this bewitching aura. Her Venus is also anaretic and is out of control
This Lilith is also squared Neptune bringing deception, fantasy and delusion and sextile mars. Lilith and Mars is highly sexual. One is tempted to blame it on Brady as we cannot stomach a woman committing such hideous crimes against children. But one wonders just how far “led astray” she really was. What I get from the chart is an extremely powerful, seductive energy combined the a fierce rage of a wounded child. A lethal combination.

First of all, I’m extremely obsessed with this case, so I’m so glad you wrote about this and I hope you’ll do more on it.
Second of all, it’s definitely true that the cognitive dissonance of a woman actually being complicit in the murder of children was part of the reason this was so shocking at the time. It’s interesting that Myra’s Sun is at the anaretic degree of Cancer, because from what I’ve read, prior to meeting Ian she really did like children and she had been especially traumatized by the death of one of her childhood friends. I think her reasons for falling under Brady’s spell and participating in these murders had a lot less to do with “man-hating” and more with self-hating. A Scorpio Moon lends itself to a kind of emotional destruction- thrives on it, even- which in Myra’s case was dangerous because there was absolutely no limit. Only someone who truly despises herself would allow herself to completely abandon everything she once believed in (her religion, her family connections, etc.- all things that are important to a Cancer, no less) to feel worthy in the eyes of someone else, especially a love interest. (She also has that powerful Venus squaring Neptune, don’t forget, so I’m not totally sure that she was in full control of all that power.) It’s also interesting that in the wake of their trial, when it became apparent that the public viewed her as some kind of monster, Myra completely renounced Ian, claiming that he had manipulated her into staying in the relationship and participating in the murders. She even had an affair with a female prison guard while she was incarcerated- more “man-hating”? No, not at all- a further attempt to wash away what was now open contempt for her by attempting to become something else entirely. There’s no question that Myra Hindley was a sociopath, but I think her pathology came from an entirely different place than Ian Brady’s- and somehow psychologically I’m not sure that her power was entirely conscious. She only had the (good or bad, however you want to see it) luck to meet someone who allowed her to express it limitlessly, but without any growth or actualization, the way a healthy person might examine their own darkness.

I didn’t want to read up too much on myra, because 1) it was too upsetting since I have a young child. And 2) I wanted to try a cold reading. I think you are probably right the sun aspects are to do with sense of self and a fragile ego rather than father issues. I’d like to do her synastry with Brady. As an object in the sky Black Moon Lilith is the Moon’s apocentre, the place where she reaches her apogee or farthest distance from Earth. Its symbol is a cresent moon with a cross at the bottom.
This is the most used Lilith. And is the classic spell binding femme fatale that most people think of for Lilith. For me it is pure sexual energy, its the Kundalini, life force, animal magnetism. It has certain magic about it. Mick Jagger had it conjunct his Sun/jupiter. People tend to make this “evil”. But there is nothing dark or evil about Black Moon Lilith atall. Western religion has made it that way.
DARK Moon Lilith IS the dark side. THIS is the place where ones demons lurk. This is raging Lilith when she was put in Exile. But its a hugely creative place. Its the muse for many a melancholy Romantic Poet. Lord Byron had it conjunct his sun. Think fairytales with a dark edge. Lewis Carroll had it opposing Chiron. It has a very gothic feel.
This is the dangerous one because if it isn’t used creatively it can turn destructive and vengeful. Henc the connection with the Lilith myth where she turned child killer when in exile out of revenge.
In the sky Dark Moon Lilith is a vague dust cloud. No one even knows if it exists atall! It befits that it is so mysterious I suppose. Its symbol is an oval on its side with a line going horizontally thru it.

That is so spookily accurate. I love your additions here of the Sabian symbols, they add a lot to the interpretations and also confirmations of what the stars and aspects suggest. It’s wonderful seeing different systems in astrology coming together like this.
Thanks Jamie I just love reaching for the symbols to help explain charts. It’s amazing how often they pick up on key themes. Sometimes you have to think outside the box a bit but that’s the beauty of them! They do hit the spot more often than not.
