Mercury transits usually last for one day unless Mercury is slowing down during retrograde motion when the transit can last for a about five days. As the messenger of the god, Mercury rules communication, so the focus of these transits are on our thinking, rational intellect, and our communications. Converstations, letters, internet interactions and paperwork can all be important during these transits. Mercury transits can also indicate short distance travel, trips around town, and a generally busy time.
