Lilith conjuncted Jupiter for the first time in 33 years, on the 8th of December 2011. Now we have this aspect again from March 11th until March 20th 2012 at 9º-10º Taurus. Lilith Conjunct Jupiter brings together two apparently opposing forces in western culture. Lilith and Jupiter share sex and religion in common.
Jupiter was the insatiable chaser of nymphs while Lilith is also accused of being insatiable. However with Lilith, her apparently greedy sexuality is vilified and seen as destructive somehow. Instead of a congratulatory slap on the back she is labelled a succubus and a nymphomaniac.
The same double standard goes for the religious aspect between them, Lilith’s magical ability is branded as witchcraft, but for Jupiter these powers are just an example of the divine miracle of his godliness. Lilith like Jupiter has a hunger for knowledge and mind expansion, indeed it was this desire for wisdom and the passing on of that sacred knowledge that caused Eve to be booted out of paradise.
Lilith conjunct Jupiter gives an insatiable, ravenous sexual energy but also a real need for those physical relations to be tantric. Sex for Lilith/Jupiter has to bring one in contact with the divine which is similar to Lilith/Neptune. But where Lilith/Neptune is fantasy forming, yearning, unrequited and ultimately celibate, Lilith/Jupiter, has to be very, very physical. Not to get too personal but by the time 1978 came, it was obvious my 16 yr old daughter needed more than I could give her and she went to live first with her father and then with her cousins’ mom. Then lots of opportunities and awards. She met a man and they nurtured each other into the growing up into young adults stage leaving behind the young girl.I would even venture to say it brought her out of a certain retarded stage, perhaps not enough stimulus in poverty.
I had a man at my old community who said he was keeping his distance cause I was looking rather dark. He stammering alot. I told him I was moving.The sexual attentions weren’t to my liking there.He rather angrily told me he could move out here too. He didn’t. Yes the very same. I tend to look at the mean Lilith for transits because its less erratic. True Lilith seems to work better for synastry because its more to do with the root chakra and sex. I think it works more on a personal level while the Mean Lilith is more like an outer planet. Ephemerides have only been available for True Lilith since the 1990s whereas the Mean Lilith has been studied for over 100 years.
Yes, tantric – this time round i was doing intermediate yoga after a break for a couple years and at the last class where I was having trouble with my ankle (tendon it turned out) i dreamt of being in an airplane flying over a school of whales and the gyzer of one I was concerned might bring down our plane in the far cold north. I was with a younger woman who seemed familiar with the terrain.
