Japan Horoscope

For the Japanese national horoscope, I am using the chart for the Japanese Empire, not for the post-war constitution as I have found that chart does not stand up astrologically to mundane events. The Japanese Empire was formally proclaimed with the promulgation of the Meiji Constitution by Emperor Meiji on February 11, 1889 but came into effect on November 29, 1890 [1]. As I’m interested in the “birth” of the nation, I chose the signing ceremony at Akasaka Palace on February 11, 1889. The illustration of the Ceremony Promulgating the Constitution [2] on the right shows the time on the clock above Emperor Meiji as 10:30 am.

The Moon is on the fixed star Betelgeuse (13′) square Mars. The December 2010 Lunar Eclipse was conjunct the Japanese Moon (40′). The Moon in the mundane horoscope represents the population, so they are in focus for the first half of 2011.

The 8.9 magnitude earthquake on March 11 occurred when Uranus was square the Japanese Moon just by over one degree. The South Lunar Node was exactly conjunct the Japanese Moon just one day before the earthquake (precession correction 102′): Japan Earthquake Astrology 2011Fukushima Nuclear Plant Explosion.

Below is the chart for when the Treaty of San Francisco came into effect [3]. Moon is also on Betelgeuse (35) so it gets exactly the same aspects as the chart above from the December Lunar Eclipse, Uranus and the Lunar Nodes. Now I’m not so sure about my statement that post-war charts don’t stand up so well. The January Solar Eclipse was conjunct Chiron in the chart below. Jupiter was opposite this chart’s Saturn exact on March 12. I’m more impressed with this chart now.

A 10.30 PM time would put Uranus Libra rising in the 12th, Moon in Cancer in the 9th, Ruler Venus in Aries the 6th …

The Treaty of San Francisco was signed on September 8, 1951 in San Francisco CA. On that date it was accorded said Treaty would come into force on April 28, 1952.

Because the treaty does not say at what time it will take affect, it must be assumed that the first instant of the April 28 1952 is when the document becomes valid.

    Kind Regards
